Today is the last day in over a year of working and travelling in Australia. It has been a life changing journey full of epic adventures, incredible places, and extraordinary people.
I have been exceptionally lucky to have experienced Australia unlike many people have done before. In only one year I traversed some 40,000km, visited the tourism highlights of every state, took over 20,000 photos, and countless hours of video. I owned and sold the car of my dreams, created a strong relationship with a beautiful young woman, had one of the Best Jobs in the World, and to top it all off, I met so many likeminded inspiring and ambitious people who are now lifelong friends.
This journey has been one of exploration and understanding, a truly memorable year full of ups and downs, new experiences and new ideas, new people and new stories to share. It has been an undertaking unlike anything I could have ever imagined, to have had the opportunity to create and live the ultimate Australian travel adventure, and to share it with so many amazing people is something I will never take for granted and will be forever grateful for.
The past year has been a chance for me to push my own limits, to discover more of the things that really matter to me and to go further, to truly focus on creating something bigger than just sustaining this lifestyle. I now believe that I am not only a traveller who lives for the moment and dreams of the future, but one who believes in a connected unity between people who together through actions today can empower communities to build a stronger and more positive future tomorrow.
This last 14 months in Australia have been nothing short of extraordinary and I must be completely honest to say that, to you the reader, the people who have been a part of this incredible experience and the ones who have followed my journey from the beginning, thank you. Without your support the successes of the last year would never have been possible. You are legend and I truly hope to see you again soon, somewhere, someday.
