In Photos; Uruguay

Back in the Southern Cone as a Tour Leader/CEO with G Adventures was like returning to something you know, but still something that eludes you, has still much to uncover, and still so much more to explore, to discover.  Kinda like returning to the presence of a beautiful girl after a poorly timed departure.

My return to the Southern Cone was seriously something I was very much looking forward to, with my first trip scheduled a 19 complete tour of Patagonia, which went really smoothly and acted as the perfect reintegration back to life on the road. Check this out for more on that trip (http://gregorsnell.com/2012/11/02/patagonia-dreaming/)

However the Patagonia Dreaming trip was just the beginning of what has now been a constant 6 months of leading small group adventure travel trips around the southern cone of South America. I want to use these In Photos posts to share some of my favourite photos taken during this time. So with that being said, I will cut the chatter and jump right into it. These are my personal favourites from my time spent in Uruguay. I hope you like them!! Cheers.

Hanging out with some cows, watching the sun go down. This shot was taken in the back yard of the farm house where we stay outside of Mercedes.

Another piece of sweet graffiti in Montevideo. I love this one for the length it displays taken at just the right angle.

Look, it’s me! Taken with my new Sigma 10-20 wide angle lens. This was me playing with the distortion of the super up close wide angle portraits. A skill which still needs some fine tuning.

  • Love the red blooming tree against cement wall, the sunset, the bookstore, and the bicycle with palace. I was looking for your pics of penguins in Patagonia (Patagonia Dream’n) but am delighted to find these others. Thanks for sharing them. They do inspire saving for the next trip.
