13 Jan Winter in Europe
So I’ve left Australia. After an incredible year exploring the Land Down Under it was time for a change. I packed my bags and on December 22nd, 2014 flew to Toronto, Canada #woot Home sweet home for the holidays.Being able to catch up with both my Mom and Dad’s side of the family is something I continually look forward to. I don’t get the chance often enough, so having two reunion sessions in the space of a week was really something special.
I thoroughly enjoyed the laughs, the stories, the plans for the future, and the engaging conversations. I am lucky to have such a wonderful and supporting extended family. If any of you are reading this, thank you for such an awesome Christmas. I look forward to the next one!!
Now, this being said, my family time was limited to just a week over the holidays. I had a flight booked for Dec. 29th and after seven whole days at home it was time to board another plane to embark on a new and exciting adventure! I was off once again and this time to join my incredible girlfriend Nellie in her neck of the woods, Germany! Wheels up!
Nellie is originally from North Germany and after her year in Australia decided to go back home and begin university in the small town of Luneburg. It was only natural for me to begin 2015 at her side, and the fact that she is in Europe is a huge bonus, as it is (relatively) a new continent for me with a ton of new destinations to explore. I decided to move to Germany for the beginning of 2015 using it as a base to discover the rest of central Europe, as well as a place to research and network the possibilities of creating my next ambitious endeavour. Let the fun begin 🙂
2015 is shaping up to be another great year of new travels and experiences. I am excited about meeting up with long lost traveller friends spread throughout Europe, the opportunity to create a project I have been planning for years and actively pursuing for months, the chance to spend quality time and grow a strong relationship with a beautiful girl, as well as expanding my destination marketing business and meeting inspiring professionals within the world of travel. Ambitious plans with solid goals. Go!
As of right now I am planning a short trip to Belgium, then a ski trip to Switzerland and France, then a short stopover in Barcelona before flying back to Germany, …then Italy for three weeks in March 🙂 The year is taking shape for this traveller and it would be awesome if you are along for the ride!! Thanks again for following this ongoing journey of exploration and discovery. You rock!
