Some Giant Petrels cruising beside the boat during our final days crossing the Drake Passage on route to South America. The midnight summer sun cast an incredible side light on these amazing birds creating perfect conditions for wildlife photography. They continued to cruise past the boat for upwards of 2 hours. It was insane and I was happy to get a few of these photos in focus which was honestly the most difficult part. @polarlatitudes with @brendanvanson @photojbartlett @rachaeltalibart @baxter.photos @juliatrotti @mikemezphoto @courtney_victoriaphotography @erinbabnik and many other super talented photographers on the Photo Voyager 2023. The final Antarctica vlog drops tomorrow. We got really lucky on the last day with a pod of Orcas cruising right beside the ship. I'll try to post a few more pf the photos tomorrow once the video goes live. Captured with @polarlatitudes in January 2023.
